Resin Seeds
After releasing their Cannatonic strain in 2008, Resin Seeds are considered the founders of the CBD movement within the industry. This strain set about a new quest for the newly formed seedbank, which was to search the globe for ultimate medicinal strains. Today, Resin Seeds takes pride in knowing that thousands of people across the globe have benefited mightily from the unique healing abilities of their specially bred strains. However, no strain has made as much of an impact, than the aforementioned Cannatonic. It was in 2008 that Cannatonic was unveiled to the public and accomplished a feat not easily imaginable at the time; the strain won a High Times Amsterdam Cannabis Cup in a Sativa category, despite the fact that Cannatonic is largely a non-psychoactive plant. The judges were so overwhelmingly impressed with the initial sensation of a balanced THC/CBD high that they had no choice but to include Cannatonic amongst the winners. Since then, Resin Seeds have continued developing their CBD line to include Hammershark and Dieseltonic, the latter of which also won an award in Amsterdam’s High Times Cannabis Cup, in 2013. Resin Seeds also offer some fantastic high THC strains which are immensely popular all over the world; it was recently revealed that Resin’s genetics are now being grown in places as varied as The Gambia, Slovenia, Cambodia, New Zealand and more. All of Resin Seeds strains are developed in Spain, where they base themselves year round. One of the defining aspects of this seedbanks is that they work exclusively with select cuttings given to them by the original breeder. They don’t buy seed or go pheno hunting, they go straight to the source. This means that every parental plant in their stock has been selected and given to Resin by the original creator of the plant.
